Have Courage and Baba and Dadi Give Help
In the early 1990's the Miami family was
celebrating Global Cooperation for a Better
World. We had a program at the Philip Michael
Thomas Theater which seated about 400 people. I
was asked to do a five-minute commentary. Being
new in knowledge and having never given a
commentary in front of even four people, I went
through every excuse in the book why someone
else would be a better choice. But, alas, Sister
Waddy would not entertain my excuses. The job
was in my lap. To add to my nervousness, Dadi
Janki was to be in the audience. Can you imagine
being a newbie and speaking a meditation
commentary in front of Dadi Janki?
Well, we got through it. Surely it was we, Baba
and me. The commentary was received so well that
for years afterwards any time Sister Waddy would
re-introduce me to Dadi she would say, "This is
the sister who did the commentary in Miami that
you loved so much."
To this day I use this as a reference point that
when we have courage, Baba and Dadi give help.
Words of Wisdom
“Just as we are always Baba’s children and His
companions, let your remembrance be constant and
continue to do everything with Baba. Never be
alone as Maya will catch you off-guard. When you
feel the need, call Baba, “My companion, please
come!” and Baba is guaranteed to make Himself
present. One step of your courage will bring a
thousand-fold help from Baba.”
“Waste, fears and desires cause distress. What
is needed is courage on the basis of faith,
trust and honesty. Absorb what Baba wants you to
do in your life and that will start to work
inside you. We have to mould ourselves in order
to become real gold.”
“Courage and faith enable me to move forward.
The road clears and then others can follow.
Instead of worrying, do good karma and there
will be no time for wrong actions. Good actions
create the fragrance of an angel. Who am I and
who do I belong to? I am a soul and my Father is
the Supreme Soul. Knowing this, you will
experience happiness and lightness and the power
to perform good actions.”
Drishti Point
I keep my heart connected to the source of all
power and might and I shower this power on every
soul I interact with today.
Karma Yoga Exercise
I, the soul, am infused with the Shakti of God.
I walk through the world with ease and deep
peace because I have nothing the world can take
away. I am protected. I am loved. I am free.
