For Week of April 13, 2015
Classic Dadi
The scene was London in the early days. Dadi was
telling me, "There is a mother who has a lot of
love for service and she's hired a room but she
needs a teacher." I could feel Dadi's love and
see the twinkle in her eye as she spoke. In
those days I was no way a teacher nor did I know
how to give the meditation course. But,
anaesthetized with the vibration of Dadi's love
I found myself saying, "Yes" when she asked me
to go. Then I had a second thought: "But when I
talk my knees shake! And it wouldn't do to be
talking about peace when your knees shake." She
looked at me; looked away; looked at me again;
then with her classic finger pointed at me she
said powerfully, "They are NOT coming to see
YOU! They are coming to see BABA!" Wow! The
penny dropped. In a flash that egocentricity
that I'd cultivated over decades vanished into
thin air. I drove to that venue in bliss. And
even though I encountered heavy traffic which
delayed me by half an hour, I was still
intoxicated. Needless to say, the mother who
couldn't give the talk had started the talk
herself - and enjoyed it!
Words of Wisdom
Everything depends on our intellect. Let us live
with an absolutely clean intellect – no karmic
bondage, no account with anyone, no thoughts of
anything. We have so much faith that victory is
destined for us; it is guaranteed. Our faith and
trust in the self have made us strong. Faith in
the intellect makes us victorious. It’s the
intellect that tells us that we are definitely
victorious. The soul has this gift of having
faith in the self, in Baba and in the drama.
Drama shows you how to make your faith and trust
strong. Yes, for namesake I have a part in this
drama and it makes my stage, and my faith and
trust, strong. Faith and trust alone have worked
for me. To be an instrument means that faith and
trust are solid: knowing that Baba is inspiring
me to do everything and that drama is destined
to bring me success. Dadi does not use her
intellect. She checks what her intellect is
doing and sees it is so quiet. Some cannot keep
the intellect quiet.
What Baba has said in His elevated versions is
happening and you are seeing that. It’s fortune
to see and experience that. We don’t need to do
anything else. He is doing everything; He is
inspiring everything. We just carry on
experiencing that, whilst looking at Karavanhar,
the One who is making us do everything, by
constantly looking at Him, our lives have become
worthwhile. In fact, it’s not so much the fact
that my life is now successful but that it is no
longer in my hands; it’s in Baba’s hands. We are
being sustained in Baba’s lap. Baba has made us
His companions. It is such a beautiful
pilgrimage! The only sound that emerges is that
everyone’s life should be like this.
Drishti Point
I keep the faith that Baba has chosen me to do
his task and serve the whole world. I radiate
the bliss that this understanding brings me and
see each soul I meet today with this utter
spiritual joy.
Karma Yoga Point
As I approach any task today I do so connected
to the source of all power and know that success
is guaranteed and that there will be benefit for
all because Baba is with me.
