Keeping the Faith and Tough Love!
Dadi has an amazing ability to keep faith in
people- I remember when something had happened
in my life that was against shrimat and I
expected her to be very tough with me but she
surprised me by continuing to be encouraging and
making a big thing into a small thing. She
really defends the honor of the clan and each
one’s honor – She can forgive and let go and not
keep the vision of a mistake on you, allowing
the soul to keep moving ahead and not have heart
failure! I remember another time when a program
had been fixed and she was questioning it and I
felt rejected by her and was crying saying she
didn’t love me. She was quite firm explaining
that her faith and support of me was love and I
needed to recognize what real love was! I have
really appreciated the way you can have a real
relationship with Dadi- she is not distant and
engages wholeheartedly with you but doesn’t let
you become attached either.
Words of Wisdom
Don’t compare with others because you will never
be able to make the same effort. I should not do
what others do, but the attitude to maintain is
I have the potential to be equal. The effort to
make is to be gyanyukt, yuktiyukt, and yogyukt.
Mama used to know about the mistakes and
weaknesses of everyone. However, she would
always first speak of the specialties of the
soul and support the soul, only then would she
give corrections. In this way we would feel that
she was giving us love rather than giving us
teachings. Many look at the weaknesses and
mistakes of others and not at the specialties.
Remember that Baba has selected each soul and
there are definitely specialties in each soul.
Learn to see those specialties, otherwise you
will remain involved in waste and you will not
be able to become soul conscious. Instead of
looking at the weaknesses of others, spend time
in solitude to look at your own self and
transform your own weaknesses.
See the drama as a detached observer with Baba
as your Companion. Where do I stand between Baba
and drama? It’s such a wonderful drama and I
realize that I was with Baba last kalpa and am
with Baba even now. Baba made me belong to Him;
He is always both the Detached Observer and my
Companion. Out of all the millions of souls Baba
specially selected me, saying: You are a number
one soul who is going to pass with honor. Baba
is making us worthy by encouraging us in this
way.
Drishti Point
Dadi, like Baba, sees only the good in each soul
and forgets the mistakes and weaknesses. Let me,
today, see every soul with the same vision. I
see only the highest potential and give power
and encouragement to each one.
